15

I'm 15.
We lay on her bed.
We watch a movie on her tiny TV.
She has short pixie hair.
I know she's gay.
She knows I know she's gay.
She knows I know that people know she has a crush on me and told me.
Does she know that I think I know that she knows it's hard to breathe in her room?
My arm almost brushes her arm.
I have no idea what is going on in this movie.

Kissing mermaids

I let her in and kick off my flip flops
Her: Wow your hair is so curly
Me: I was dancing in the rain
She kisses me
Her: You look like a mermaid

Snowstorm in June

She is like a snowstorm in June. Unexpected and wild.
You would wish you had a jacket but instead catch tiny snowflakes on your tongue.
"Watch me twirl!" she shouts over the music.
I take her photo over and over and over.

Godzillakitty

Her: I am going to a lesbian event tonight
Me: Jealous! Can I come?
(insert pouty cat face)
Her: Yes you can!!
Me: Yesssssssssss!

Here's a photo of me searching for my soul mate.
Just a normal Friday
Ya know

-shhhhthhhhsshhhh-
(tv static)

ah here, now we have a signal
Oh only one thing playing today in Brandy's brain today?
Let's check it out:

Her: What?
Me: Nothing
Her: ...what?
Me: You are just so cute
Her: Haha no YOU are so cute
Me: Mmmm nope, you are the cutest
-I kiss her shoulder-
Her: No you are
Me: No you are

Dear Soulmate

Dear Soulmate,

Where are you?!
Do you exist?
I hope you didn't die in a surfing calamity.
Or a fire.
Or a tragic juggling accident.
Maybe we live mere blocks from each other but never cross paths because one of us hits the green light while the other hits the red.
Several times I thought I saw you from a distance but when I got up close I saw your face had changed.
Please find me before I am old and wrinkley (I guesstimate you have about 80 years left).
You will recognize me when you see me as I always wear my heart on my sleeve.
Love Brandy
